Terry Zlot – Photoshop

terryZA self-described “photo-geek”, Terry is an Adobe Certified Expert & has long had a passion for the technical processes of digital imaging. Over the past 15 years he has pursued a career pushing the limits of photo printing technology.

Terry started working with Photoshop in 1995, beginning his career in photographic labwork in 1996. Realizing that he had found his niche, he studied photography for 2 years at the Langara Professional Photo Imaging Program. In 2001 he moved to Victoria for a vacation, and fell in love with the city.

Shortly after moving he was employed by Prism Photo where he began the task of bringing a consumer photo-lab into the digital age. In that period, Terry had some amazing success stories, most notably handling the entire printing of the short-lived BC Experience at the Crystal Gardens.  In 2008, Terry left to pursue his own vision & partnered with Alan Moss to create ArtBox, artboxvictoria.com Victoria’s full service print, mount & frame shop.

When not toiling away in the shop, Terry teaches a 2nd year advanced Photoshop course, and a 1st year Inkjet Printing course at the Western Academy of Photography, and occasionally escapes for a bit of landscape or macro photography work in his spare time.
